Taiwan holds a unique and indispensable position in the global supply chain. However, climate change and geopolitical factors are driving global supply chains toward regionalization and prompting industrial restructuring. To strengthen industrial resilience and national security, countries worldwide are promoting key industry self-sufficiency to reduce external dependencies. Therefore, Taiwan must continue developing critical industries such as semiconductors, electric vehicles, and 5G ICT to maintain its competitive edge in the global supply chain.
Smart automotive electronics is one of the four key industries identified in this project. By integrating existing modules, the goal is to develop internationally competitive subsystem products and accelerate the global expansion of Taiwan’s critical smart industries.
